noun:
1. The number of ten thousand; ten thousand persons or things. (Chiefly in reference to the Greek numeral system, or in translations from Greek or Latin).
2. An immense number; a very great many; an indefinitely large number.

These are just simple definitions from usually 3 places- My Lexicon books i have here at home, Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com. I take a little bit from all 3 and combine them to make a 1 simple definition. Sometimes I'll include a sentence/synonyms and antonyms sometimes not.

Please remember these aren't the full definitions in most cases, just a simple run down of a definition. Nothing fancy. I'm just giving you the basics.

Please feel free to do further research on the word and definition.

In the future i may include more information on the words, even pictures. This blog is still in the beginning fazes, I'm not sure where i want to take it and how i want to do it.

I hope you enjoy it, maybe you'll learn a little something. I also hope to learn and remember these words and strengthen my vocabulary and my spelling.

Well firstly... this is the newest edition to my Blog Empire

I've always had a fascination with words and how they can be used and expressed and how there are zillions of words out there. What amazes me is how dictionary's are expanding at an amazing rate... new words are created everyday and there are so many amazingly interesting words out there that already exist but aren't really used and i want to share them with you all and in the process i will be learning these words as well ... therefor... increasing my own vocabulary and having a good time.

Basically this is a blog-style dictionary. I will be posting words that strike me as unusual or interesting.. words i find while surfing the net, reading books and magazines. I'll use the dictionary and my Lexicon books as well.

This blog is in it's beginning fazes and i am still playing with the development of it so things may change, it may look differently at times, just till i get it exactly how i want it. I am kinda picky when it comes to the designs of my blogs. But, in the meantime feel free to look around and please check back often. I have a feeling that this blog will be updated a few times a day just as my other blogs are.

I hope you get some enjoyment out of this, and really... it's just for fun but hopefully you and i both will learn a little bit while having fun. Hey... if ya get bored at work or you need to pass some time pop on over to WWL and see if there is a new word for you to add to your vocabulary.
